22Watt Kiosk Amplifier
Add Hi-Fidelity Stereo or Mono Sound to
your Kiosk Project.
How To Use The Amplifier
The Kiosk Amplifier connects to your PC Soundcard using a standard 3.5mm Stereo Jack Plug Lead. The amplifier requires a 12V DC supply rated at 3Amps. The Power Supply is connected to the Amplifier via a standard 2.5mm Power Connector. We recommend you use a separate PcCredit Power Supply for this, see web page http://www.markscotford.com/pccpsupic.html .Your speakers are connected to the amplifier using the 4 screw terminals located inside the box. If using the amplifier in Stereo Mode, then connect "Speaker 1" to terminals 1 & 2, connect "Speaker 2" to terminals 3 & 4. If you wish to run the amplifier in Mono Mode, then connect your speaker to the two outside terminals and make a wire link on the PCB marked "R1". With the correctly rated power supply you will be able to achieve with a 2 Ohm speaker load, 11Watts per Channel, Stereo or 22Watts, Mono. With a 4 Ohm speaker load, 6Watts per Channel, Stereo or 22Watts, Mono There is also a volume control protruding out of the box, so you can set the correct loudness for your kiosk. We have provided you with a Green LED indicator to show that the Amplifier is powered up, which you can see through the input connector hole. We have also fitted a automatically resetting fuse to protect the amplifier against misuse.
